Two great mountain ranges intersect in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, the Neacolas and the Chigmits. You are viewing the Chigmits from the Seward Highway at Potter Marsh 120 miles southwest of Anchorage. That island in front of the range is Fire Island. BTW the only way to get in there is by boat or plane.
Christinall Love and I were driving north on the Seward Highway at 1:53:52pm in the afternoon of September 21st, 2022 and I am just running my mouth and I just happened to look to my left. I pulled the car over, ran across the highway, laid on my stomach in front of the railroad tracks, closed my eyes, and captured that image.
