Description
1:39:06 pm Sunday September 7th. Michelle Blackmore are close to the Yukon River Bridge on the Haul Road heading north. And Mickey has this thing that when she selects music it really fits the time and what you are doing. She is a natural at it. Passing this we are listening to "I Walk The Line" by Johnny Cash. Mickey is a great pilot to have when you go shoot pictures. I would take her and let her drive The Great Wall of China if you could drive it.
It crosses three mountain ranges and more than 30 major rivers and streams. The high point of the pipeline can be found at Atigun Pass with an elevation of 4,739 feet. Length: 800 miles.
Miles of buried pipeline, 380. Almost 17 billion barrels have moved through pipeline. More than 12,000 tankers have been escorted through Prince William Sound.
First oil moved through the pipeline on June 20, 1977. First tanker to carry crude oil from Valdez, The ARCO Juneau, August 1, 1977. 70,000 people built this, the largest privately financed construction project in history. These facts do not make me smart. I got them from the internet. But you know there are 7 wonders of the world. Great Wall of China is one of them. It is my opinion this should be the 8th. Just sayin .
