Artist's Description
You are viewing this at an elevation of 8,701 feet looking at the Sawtooth National Forest. The Sawtooth Mountains you see in front of you is so named for one reason. The mountains look like the teeth of a saw.
State Highway 75 this road is know as the Sawtooth Scenic Byway from this spot is one of the most beautiful drives you ever want to see arriving at the headwaters of the Salmon River - The River of No Return. When done you will arrive at the community of Stanley, Idaho. 60 below zero in the winter is a good day.
November 17th, 2013 at 4:17:25pm is when I captured this. It is my goal this year to go there again shoot the Salmon River and Stanley, Idaho. It is the only place in Idaho I never got to shoot landscape. You looking for a nice drive come here.
