Description
From the smart folks at Wikipedia, the George Parks Highway named after George Alexander Parks, governor of the Territory of Alaska from 1925 to 1933, runs 323 miles from the Glenn Highway 35 miles north of Anchorage to Fairbanks in the Alaska Interior. The highway, originally known as the Anchorage-Fairbanks Highway, was completed in 1971, and given its current name in 1975.
Flying out on Alaska 2806 heading to Anchortown, this turned out nice with the fall colors. I think they are incorrect on the numbers but this I do know. Everyone has a story on this road no matter which way you go.
