Description
Landscape photography, 31 years of living in Alaska, seen as much as I could have seen and today is my first time to view "Da Bear", Bear Glacier. Rick Brown owner of Adventures60 in Seward set up a helicopter trip for me and we both view this beautiful piece of landscape. I was overwhelmed the whole time.
Bear Glacier is the largest glacier flowing out of the Harding Icefield. 15 miles south of Seward , Alaska and is accessible by water taxi, kayak, and helicopter The area is split down the middle by the Kenai Fjords National Park boundary, with the park on the south western side and State of Alaska DNR land on the north eastern side. Some of the activities that you can enjoy there are camping, photography, kayaking, hiking, berry picking, beach combing, hunting (on the DNR land), rafting, tours, birding and wildlife viewing.
I am shooting this and just saying to myself the whole time, Da Bear. I would love to kayak here the people I saw were having a ball. Sunny 75 when I took this. A beautiful day in South Central Alaska.
